Upselling

Hi. I’m feeling better today. Sort of. Yesterday, I decided to spend some time on Mass Ave which helped with my frustration and tension level.

It’s not that life slowed down so much in the past 24 hours, but not being as exhausted and worn out does help put somethings in better perspective.

I am gainfully employed again, which feels good to have some deposits in the bank account rather than just debits.  I’m working for a “high end casual dining” restaurant in Indy; I’m getting the menu and system down. The only thing I still need to brush up on is my wine knowledge – specific names of our wines rather than the grape variety or region.

Yet…when it comes to up-selling a cocktail: I’m on it! My Bloomington friends believe in having good liquor in their home bar stock, thus when I was asked two up-sells for gin, vodka, bourbon, rum, et cetera, I just visualized my friends’ bar.

Or as I told The Frau on Sunday, “Why would I want to drink any bourbon less than Maker’s Mark?”

Cheers.
